2024 Performing Hypnosis Summit Recap

I recently attended, and presented at, my very first in-person hypnosis conference. I was fortunate enough to attend the 2024 Performing Hypnosis Summit in Las Vegas, Nevada. Not only was this my first time attending a hypnosis conference, but this was the first year for the Performing Hypnosis Summit (PHS) to happen in a live and in-person setting. The previous iterations of this conference were 100% virtual.

The 2024 PHS was filled with opportunities for growth, great networking, and an incredible amount of surprises that I was not expecting. As a newer hypnotist, having only performed about 20 live shows at this point, I was really expecting to attend this conference and be a fresh, new rookie performer. Sure, I've been on hundreds of stages performing mentalism shows over the years, but new as a hypnotist for sure.

I quickly learned that I could not have been more wrong in my perception of the conference and it's attendees. Through the weekend of attending presentations from many many seasoned hypnotists, including the legendary Terry Stokes himself as the keynote speaker, it became apparent that this conference was a great place for hypnotists and other performers who are curious about the performance art to dip their toes in, learn more about the profession, and potentially launch a career into stage hypnosis.

Many of these attendees were either long-standing hypnotherapists looking to expand their opportunities and offerings. Others were performers, like mentalists and magicians, who were looking to add to their stage chops, and a few had attended trainings, but had never performed a show.

I gave a presentation on my performance journey, how I got into magic and mentalism, and evolved to find my true passion on stage as a hypnotist. I then demonstrated a few old mentalism routines and how I've restructured them to be performed in a hypnosis theme.

It was a tremendous event with a ton to offer both in knowledge, experiences, and networking. I highly recommend this conference for anyone interested in performing stage hypnosis in the future.
